Drawing on the ancient spiritual devotion of the Stations of the Cross, we invite you to participate in a journey of reflection and discovery in the city of Oxford.
The Light of the World is a painting by the English Pre-Raphaelite artist William Holman Hunt (1827–1910). It portrays the figure of Jesus preparing to knock on an overgrown and long-unopened door: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3.20).
